This page allows you to create “short”-links for other websites, similar to goo.gl or bit.ly. But while other services give you the shortest possible URL, spokenlink.com is eager to give you an easy to remember and easy to communicate link. An spokenlink.com-URL will consist of a set of color and pictogram combinations. These links are easy to communicate verbally and work in different languages (at the moment, German and English). This language-independecy makes it even possible to share a link using a picture and encoding it without knowing the right words. Whenever I tried to get my location it crashed. Why? I don’t know. Maybe all I need to do is asking permission for LBS upfront… Who knows? I decided to not look into it. There are three reasons: It was a design study on how to create a responsive UI How to create an API Almost everything that this app can do is now integrated into Nokia Maps So looking back on MLaaL, it was an interesting project, but nothing I want to invest further time. I know……Hey Everyone! Let me start this blog post with two numbers: 7465 downloads 3431 apps This means that the “AppMe.eve-c.org/Scout”-AppStore has more “apps” than Samsung’s Bada platform (*). I know… these are no real apps and that you have to install them is only because Symbian doesn’t offer any other useful solution. But it is a nice comparison and good for my uber-ego I’m quite surprised about the success of AppMe.

NestDrop.eve-c.org tries to make it easier for you to get content from your browser on to your mobile phone. Therefor it uses a bookmarklet on the browser side and a mobile web page on the phone side. An web launcher for Symbian exists for the convenience aswell.
